Strange changes of the contributions in the print in Italy

Published On Monday On October 6 2008 in Sweden

[Journalisten]

Once more, the expression freedom is in discussion in Italy. This time nevertheless the central question does not regard the fact that the greatest ruler of the mass media is at the same time a first minister.
This time it is about the contributions in the print, which in Italy are paid to newspapers guided by journalists' cooperatives, political parties or companies without gain reason. The minister of the economy Julio Tremonti has decided according to a decree to cut the contributions in the print for 83 million Euro for 2009 and 100 million Euro for 2010. In this way, according to the calculations they are put in danger fifty daily papers and reviews, big and little.

Someone has a long history to the backs. The Manifesto looks after itself for example of the legendary left side daily paper, of the daily paper of the Italian episcopal conference the Future, de The Century of Italy of the postFascist party National Alliance and of the newspaper of the greatest party of opposition (Democratic Party), the Unity. Also the classic one We Women, Italian feminists, remains without contributions, only to cite some of them.

Unfortunately, incorrect publishers they are intrufolati in this group taking advantage of the generosity of the state, which tries to defend the plurality. According to the old rules, the contributions in the print were paid in fact not on the grounds of the sale of copies or the subscriptions, but in relation to all the copies published the newspaper in question it could exhibit. It was therefore possible to obtain contributions for 100 000 models, even if the sales were nonexistent. It is possible to question us naturally on because the state should finance reviews how to Do Sail or Thirty Days in the Church and in the World. This is one of the reasons therefore the made indignant jester and propagandist Beppe Grillo with a little bit of time carries ahead the question about the abolition of the contributions. But in this case Cricket makes a mistake. In Italy the television is the fountain of information that darkens the whole rest for the enormous majority of the population. A television that in that turn is in the hands of the political power in general and of the first minister particularly.

If we add to this that the greatest information daily papers are used in the first place to serve the economic and political interests of their powerful owners, here is the image becomes even clearer.

In a situation mediatica of this family, there it is necessary of daily papers published by journalists' cooperatives and by companies without reason of gain, political parties, organisations by the rights of the citizens and the church. There it it is necessary to balance and to let know voices diverged next to a dreadful concentration of property that tries to obtain the monopoly of the public opinion.

They all agree on the fact that the old rules on the contributions in the print must have changed to prevent itself from abusing the system. The "reform" of the government does not lead nevertheless to any improvement. Beforehand the contributions in a, of course, daily one were quartered in advance, and the direction of the newspaper could obtain so bank loans waiting for the money. From this moment in then the contributions they will depend at all the money they remain as soon as the financial plan was established. In short, nobody can know in advance how much will be paid to each newspaper. The equation is simple: without guarantees not at all bank loans and without loans not at all newspaper. L’equazione è semplice: senza garanzie niente prestiti bancari e senza prestiti niente giornale.

Ah already, the new contributions in the print have also another weak point: the indirect contributions are not touched. It is about the so called postal contributions paid to the greatest Italian publishers to reimburse for them partially their distribution expenses. The house editrice Mondadori of Silvio Berlusconi can maintain then his 18,8 million Euro as contribution for the purchase of stamps (?) and the newspaper of the industrial association Italian Manufacturers' Association, The Sun 24 Hour, his 17,8. Also the house editrice Rcs of the Messenger of the Evening will be able to count on 13,7 million Euro, while the Manifesto is on the hem of the precipice since his contributions for 4 million Euro are in danger. Long life to the plurality!

The cosmic idea is the practical spatial and temporal possibility compared to the natural circularity, with which there manage to be included all the plans included in our up-to-dateness ’metastorica and harmonica, the eternal construction between utopia and distopia, cerneria of the existentialism.
